It is a grand old traditional hotel with lovely tiled floors and features. Feels like you are staying in a 1920s novel! It's a bit shabby but clean, staff lovely and the pool is excellent. I had a single room with bathroom. There is no alcohol sold and not allowed to drink alcohol on the premises. B

Right in the heart of Stone town, close to the historic seafront. The rooms were spacious and beautifully furnished. The breakfast has a good choice, staff were courteous and helpful. The on-site restaurant compares well to others nearby.

The location is great. Perfect spot to catch all the local sights and within walking distance to the night markets and local restaurants. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our children loved the pool.

We loved the breakfast. The hotel is very centrally located, therefore you might hear some noise from the city, but we had a room towards the pool so it was fine. Staff is very helpful.

The location and architecture is fantastic, few other places in town match it, if at all. The deep pool was a surprise, not expected from a city centre location. The room is stylish and there will s a very quiet Aircon in operation.

Location was perfect. There was so much character and history in the hotel which was a real treat. The decor was amazing, all vintage and antique. Room was comfortable and a good selection for breakfast. There is gym right opposite if that is your thing. We really enjoyed our time here.
