Discover all the flavors of olive oil, every day at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. within the walls of the Diocletian's palace.
From sunlight and soil, like fine wine, olives have a magical subtle flavor all their own. Twice a day, within the walls of Diocletian's Palace, our trained olive master will introduce you to the world of olives – from the ancient tradition of putting olives in the sea and pressing them by hand to modern temperature-controlled cold-pressing.
You will be guided to learn how to smell, taste and enjoy three different types of oil, pairing them with Dalmatian delicacies to make your experience complete. And if you wish, you can take home your memories and share them with friends – we offer a complete selection of some of the finest oil in Croatia!

What to expect
Olive Oil Experience starts every day between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Uje oil bar, within the ancient walls of the Diocletian's palace. Meet our trained staff in front of our modern tavern and let them enroll you in a story of olive oil. You will learn about tradition of olive picking and making of olive oil.
Paring high quality oil with our home-made bread and local cheese gives you an authentic taste of Dalmatia and Dalmatian lifestyle. As we are very proud of our tradition, we are eager to teach you as much as possible.
