The craftsman teaching the sharpening and handle attachment has trained at a knife shop with over 150 years of history. Because he has undergone all-round training in sharpening, handle attachment, and even engraving, he is able to offer both sharpening and handle attachment workshops.

It is on the second floor of the building. Look for the sign of the store "Japanese knife shop HIRAI" on the first floor of the building as a landmark. If you have trouble finding it, please contact us.

This activity ends back at the meeting point.
What to expect
1. We will explain the precautions before starting the workshop.
2. You will experience knife sharpening. Before sharpening the knife you purchased, you will practice sharpening with a practice knife.
3. After finishing sharpening the knife you purchased, we will proceed to the handle attachment.
※During the handle attachment experience, you will wear gloves as the metal part of the handle will be heated.
4. Once the sharpening and handle attachment experiences are finished, we will package the knife nicely for you to take home.
